Privacy Policy

We collect only what the app needs:

• Email and password: to create and secure your account. The password is stored only as a salted bcrypt hash; we never see it.
• Name and username: shown on your profile so people can find you.
• Date of birth: only to confirm you're 18 or older. It's never shown publicly.
• Profile photo (optional): shown on your profile and, if you turn it on, your dating card.
• Posts, replies, likes and follows: the content and actions you choose to share.
• Messages and call records: message text, plus who called whom, when and for how long. We never record audio or video.
• Bio (optional): a short line on your profile.
• Approximate location (optional): only if you tap “Allow” in Nearby. It's rounded to about 1 km, and you can remove it any time.

We don't collect phone numbers, contacts, gender, payment details or advertising IDs, and we don't sell your data.

Account data, posts, messages and notifications are stored in a Postgres database run by Supabase (Mumbai region, ap-south-1). Photos and videos are stored in Supabase Storage. The app is hosted on Vercel. Voice and video calls connect through LiveKit and aren't recorded. These providers process data only on our behalf.

• Your profile, posts and media are visible to other signed-in users, except people you've blocked.
• Messages are visible only to the people in the conversation.
• Your dating card is shown only to other users who have also turned on dating.
• Nearby shows other people an approximate distance, never your exact position.

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in. Optional cookies are used only if you accept them. See the Cookie Policy.

• Access and correction: edit your details any time in Settings → Account details.
• Deletion: Settings → Delete account permanently erases your profile, posts, likes, follows, messages, call records, notifications and every photo or video you uploaded.
• Location: remove it in Settings → Privacy, or never share it.
• Objection and portability: email privacy@vielo.in and we'll respond within 30 days.

We keep your data while your account exists. When you delete your account, your personal data is deleted immediately from the database and file storage. Reports you made about others are deleted too. Reports others made about you may be kept, without your profile data, where needed for safety.

Vielo is only for people aged 18 and over. Signup is blocked for anyone younger. If you think a minor has an account, report it in the app or email us.
